We've all seen the various trends and whether or not they fit our taste, they certainly fit the taste of others. I've always seen women look at peacock themes, but I never understood why. Is it the beauty that a peacock has and the influence it brings? Or, is it the beautifully blended colors that compliment various brides and their bridal party? Whatever it may be, this image caught my eye and made me think of all the different ways one can incorporate a peacock into their wedding day. Take a look!
These beautiful centerpieces had be blushing! Not only is this table setting simple, it's colorful and lively. The blended floral arrangement is simple and attracts light to the table, as well as serves as an excellent conversation piece. At a wedding, Sweet 16, or any formal gathering, you want guests to feel comfortable and welcomed, not overwhelmed. This is excellent and I would see this making it's way through 2013 with confidence.
Don't hesitate to go all out on your wedding. Color combinations such as blue, yellow, green, and purple can compliment any skin tone, personality, and theme preference. The groom love it too because they're not limited to bright pastels, as jewel tones tend to be calmer and more inviting for all persons. Now, if you want something a little more, throw a little 'bling' into the mix and walk down the aisle (or runway, it's your choice) in style!
ENJOY-~~ Tamara~~

Studded Occasion
As females (and even males), we love unique pieces to make us stand out, especially on our wedding day. While browsing through Pinterest, I came across this collage that really drew my attention. With only three (3) photos, I fell in love with the pieces and the look it created.
When choosing your ensemble, think about you and what you're comfortable in. This look is something I would wear at my wedding (maybe not the full toile skirt), but the studded bodice is to die for and so are the shoes! If you're more of a rebel, this is defiantly a style that could make a statement and have everyone at your wedding talking about your killer style.
Thinking about being a rebel for another occasion? If you're looking to have a more formal Sweet 16 or even a Quinceanera, this look can defiantly make some heads turn! With our youth culture becoming so diverse and outgoing, I can see some special birthdays rocking this look. "Does this dress come in other colors?" one might ask, but I'm not entirely sure. From the looks of the site, it seems like it might only come in white, however, I'm sure if you ask around or even contact Dress Venus (the designer/distributor), they would know more or less if the dress comes in other colors. If it only comes in white, think outside the box by adding color to your makeup, flowers, or other decorations. Your occasion is a blank canvas for you to paint and make your own. Finding A Quinceanera Dress
I remember researching quinceaneras in 2006 and 2007, but I don't remember seeing too many options. Earlier today I was browsing Facebook and a few online magazines for inspiration and came across Disney inspired quinceanera gowns. Is our society growing and do our young ladies need more options? Yes, why not? There are about two (2) dresses per princess, with some having one or two more options. This will allow our young Latina women to see themselves in a Disney gown without it being a wedding gown (unless she wishes to have a traditional white gown).
The latest trends for quinceanera parties are color and individuality; sounds like the perfect composition for a young woman, right? I can say that I am a fan of the collection (my favorite is Mulan's two gowns...no pressure), however I am curious to see what retailers will be carrying them, especially in New York. If you're currently on the prowl for a gown, don't stress it. Quince shopping is so much fun and with this new collection, I'm sure you and your mujeres will love trying on true princess gowns. Happy shopping! Click Here to find a fabulous dress.

HOLLYWOOD THEMED PROM
We love doing themed proms and have been doing them for the past few years. Here is one of our lastest proms we have done this year that the students wanted. They wanted to make a grand entrance and just had to have a Hollywood themed prom this year and we tried our best to give them just that. Here are a few pictures from the event. Enjoy!
A Gatsby Wedding
Lights, sparkle, beading, the whole nine yards. This season, brides are flaunting The Great Gatsby inspired gowns, decor, and so much more in the wedding scene. Why the sudden flare-up of the 1920s? That's simple: It's a classic.
Brides are booking appointments for wedding gowns, and with the recent release of The Great Gatsby, beaded gowns, glam and romantic sleeves are making their way into a closet near you. According to The Knot's wedding segment for upcoming Fall 2013 and Spring 2014, the film is inspiring parties all over. But what else could be inspired by this classic novel?
Gatsby inspired wedding reception. Image via Onewed
The menu. Having a formal sit-down reception (lunch or dinner) is the first step in re-creating a Gatsby scene. Don't choose anything too crazy, but keep in mind that classic foods are a staple to any wedding, regardless of the theme is best Buffets are usually the reception of choice, but in the 1920s the preferred style was a formal sit down (at least from my observations) dinner. This not only allowed for a more formal atmosphere, but it also allows mingling between parties during the celebration. And for those who love desserts, if you're planning on having a cake or cupcakes (or even a dessert bar), white or ivory icing (or detailing) with pearls and edible glitter is marvelous!
Decor. Presentation is everything and with feathers, pearls, and glam all adding up to equal "classic", brides are adding a sexy spin both on the gown and at the reception. Now, how can one take a room and attain a classic and elegant show? Hiring the right designers. Event planners are fabulous for planning your big day, all of the appointments that lead up to it, and even when you need a shoulder to cry on when you get stressed, but having an event designer will allow you to see your big day as a production.
The dress. All brides want to be the center of attention (it's their big day, so why not?) and with that comes finding the perfect dress. Beading, glitter, cap sleeves, and sheer materials are all found in the upcoming Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 wedding gowns. With a theme such as Gatsby or the 1920s, much can be done with these styles and they inspire so much for the entire wedding, not just one aspect.

Bottom line: Enjoy the big day and don't forget the glamor! You only get one wedding day, so make it the best in town!

A Invitation To Remember
Every year the trends for weddings change and always seem to amaze brides-to-be. Today we're talking about invitations and how they are the attention grabber, the dress code definer, and the theme's voice. When announcing a wedding (or any event for that matter), the first thing that is seen are Save-The-Dates or invitations. So what can be expected in 2013? Neon, 3-D, gleam, and patterns.
"Bridal Guide" has listed the top trends for 2013 in various categories, but there's something about invitations that draws attention. With neon being one of the trends in invitations, professionals are saying add the pop of color, but not the entire piece. A little goes a long way.
3-D invitations are also coming into the trends this season. Whether they're embellishments, pop-ups, or just have a hint of glitter, ribbon, or wrapped in tissue paper, this trend is certainly making a statement.
Have you heard patterns and gleam are making their way into mailboxes as well? Depending on themes, patterns can be very elegant and tasteful (and even add a hint of neon!). Gleam has become a classy additive to invitations and seeing your initials or name printed is something that everyone looks forward to (especially when it's a gorgeous gold or silver). Patterns in the background can even bring the gleam to pop out and make that one invitation something to cherish for years to come.
Don't let your day be average; make it THE day! Invitations are a chance for you to bring out the personalities in you and your partner. Talk to your wedding or event planner/coordinator today about any options you may have; you never know what they may have in store!

Lace Me Up!
With wedding trends changing on a seasonal and yearly basis, there's no question that trends are rotating out. There are 20 trends that have been identified by 20 influential wedding bloggers; think you know what they are? Well, I've picked the two trends pertaining to wedding dresses that I think you'll find not only interesting and fresh, but sophisticated and unique. Lace and pockets.
Lace has always been a trademark in wedding gowns, but how the lace is distributed is questionable. Blogger Erika from Borrowed & Bleu anticipates a lot of lace this year, and she's probably right. Lace has made a comeback and with shows such as "Say Yes To The Dress," we have seen designers incorporate lace in more ways than one. Oh, and lace isn't just on the gown, it's on the sleeves, neckline, and the accessories. It is an elegant and classic look that can make the entire occasion come to life without too much hassle and an easy transition throughout the day.

Speaking of hassle-free, have you seen the pocket trend? Yes, wedding gowns are coming with pockets to make things more convenient. Weddings are emotional, and we can all agree with that. Between tissues, hand sanitizer, tic-tacs (yes, they're needed for a quick freshen up), amongst others, pockets are a huge trend in the industry. But what does this have to do with weddings as a whole? Trends. Who's following them, who's creating them, and what do they have in store for the future. Check out Wedding Blogs 100 to learn more about this years trends. Happy weddings!

Flower Popsicles
Hello all! I ran across a picture that intrigued me so much I had to write about it! A woman by the name of Marla Meredith of “Family Fresh Cooking.com” makes edible flower Popsicle, and they are mesmerizingly cute. She gathers edible flowers with flavored water and freezes them all together in a Popsicle mold and VOILA! The beauty of this creation is that it is totally customizable for your flavor and color palette. For those who may not be brave enough to try the flowers, you can always add fruit : ). I think these would be great for a birthday party, bridal shower, or reception with an organic flair! If you've tried these, or plan to, send us pics of your creations!
Here’s the link to her page with the recipe and more pictures. http://www.familyfreshcooking.com/2012/04/23/spring-flower-bouquet-popsicles-recipe/

Add Details to your Wedding Shoe with a Shoe Clip
We at Pure Dymonds Events are all about details, and here is a detail that can make a world of difference to a bride on her big day!
A bride should be able to showcase her beauty, personality and style on her wedding day. The statements she makes from her veil right down to her shoes speak volumes. That’s why we think shoe clips are so great. They range in size and color, from sparkle to subtle all to match the bride’s theme and personality.
If you’re looking for something “new” or “blue”, consider a bridal shoe clip. They can make a world of difference to a “Plain Jane” pump!
Are you a bride or bridesmaid that has used or will use shoe clips? Write to us, send us a pic, and tell us about your experience!
